Where did the last 4months go????

Jeez o'pete!  What the hell happened to the time?  I know I keep telling myself I need just a few more minutes in the day to get everything done...Oh well.  Cape off, I guess.  So I'll just cover the high notes for the last few months.  February finished up and we rolled right in to April.  6 birthday's kicked the month off.  Bo and Ann were here visiting mom and dad.  Their daughter and grandkids (Linea and Kaspar) came to town and we had a great time visiting with them.  Billy and I rode the MS150 and they started the foundation on the house.  And there was some baseball in there.  Wrapped up April and sailed in to May.  CB&I triathlon.  Another birthday.  Officially moved everything out of the house.  School ended.  More baseball.  And here's June.  A quick trip to Sea World with mom and dad and the kids.  Baseball (still!). And we are framing and demo'ing and still getting settled in to the shop.  But it's a lot like camping and we don't mind.  Tomorrow I will figure out how to get photos on here.  And how to find the 15 minutes that I need to update this thing...

And so it begins...

I don't have a great starting place, and nothing brilliant to say...but, this seems a great way to journal the mundane and also to see the humor in my everyday life.  Besides, even I need a reminder sometimes that I have actually accomplished something this day, this week, this year!

How did I start my new year? After a week or two of contemplation - I finally had a resolution, OK, I had two.  The first was to do a better job with written notes to friends and family - my goal is to get two handwritten notes in the mail each month.  And if birthday cards are on time, I get bonus points!  The second resolution was joining the 1,000+++ Mileage club for 2011.  I needed a lofty goal in my running pursuits, and came across a wonderful blog by TallMom and she offered this challenge.  I am tracking ALL my miles - swimming, biking and running - and hoping to hit the +++ part.  So, here goes!  I'm posting it out there, it's live now and I am somewhat accountable - should anyone actually read this besides me  :).

I'm hoping this blog will allow me to share the exploits of my family, my athletic (or Non-athletic) pursuits and some general thoughts on my world. And did I mention that we are getting ready to start a remodel project on the house?  Hold on to your hats, boys...this year is gonna be a wild ride!
